Hello, I'm Lukas
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to Switzerland wasn't in the master plan. As with many international assignments, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Routine chores seemed more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
Culture shock, uncertainty, and hands-on learning were common. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Zephyr Cove Glimmer
Most online resources either offered corporate relocation guidance or superficial travel content. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Switzerland.
